Introduction

We are committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you whilst you visit our site and how we use cookies on this website. Any personal details collected through this website and provided by you will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Acts of 1988 (amended by the Data ProtectionAmendment Act 2003). Information That We Collect

A user can access our site without providing any information at all. Services that currently require personal information to be provided include submission of the form on the Contact Us page, Newsletter Signup and Become a Friend queries. The information collected when a user signs up for these services include an email address and name and the information is provided so we can follow up on the customer’s request. We do not follow a user's browsing path outside of our websites.

Ticketing Data

When you purchase tickets, gift vouchers, or Friends membership through our Box Office, your name, email, phone number, and address data number will be stored by our ticketing partner, Ticketsolve. When you book tickets online, data is shared with Ticketsolve (ticketing platform) in order to process the transaction.  Realex Payments handle all our online credit card payments.Where patrons have opted to provide their details for mailings and SMS communications, data will be shared with MailChimp (email) and WEBTEXT (SMS service).Ticketsolve, Realex, Webtext & MailChimp have implemented appropriate technological measures to protect against accidental loss, destruction, damage, alteration or disclosure.

Communications Subscribers Lists

When you sign up for our mailing list, either at the time of booking or separately through our sign up form, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to share information such as upcoming shows; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information and to check our records are right. You can update your communications preferences on our website at any time and you can unsubscribe from our mailing list by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails and to unsubscribe from SMS messages,  reply STOP to the number provided and you can also update preferences and asked to be removed from all lists by emailing our Data Protection Officer carla.moran@droichead.com. We never give your details to third parties unless permission is explicitly sought and consent granted.

Information Automatically Logged

We log your IP address, browser's user agent, and referring address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website and to identify unique users. Your IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information.

Cookies

This website uses “cookie” technology. A cookie is a small piece of data or a small text file stored by the browser on your computer, at the request of our server. Cookies enable us to measure visitor traffic to our website and their usage patterns, to speed up your searches, to recognise you when you return to our website. Record Retention Periods 

GDPR set’s out the principle that personal data shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for the purpose or purposes for which it was obtained. Droichead Arts Centre has the following data retention period in place : Customer data is removed and deleted after four years.
